I’ve spent a beautiful day exploring this city. Mantova is known as La Bella Addormentata, a sleeping beauty that hasn’t changed since the middle ages. You can walk between sumptuous ducal palaces and a string of atmospheric, cobbled squares. I experienced a boat tour on the Mincio River: the wetland is home to skirt lotus flowers, reed beds and heron roosts, providing panoramic city views. Do you like water lilies as I do? It’s like the lakes close Mantua from the world. As the sun sets, take time for an Aperol spritz or a glass of wine. That’s everything I love.
There’s so much to visit in this city — here are just a few of my favorite pics. Enjoy 😉
